The ECE Earth Science Exam Outline:

In order to view the Excelsior College Earth Science exam outline, you must first visit the EXCELSIOR COLLEGE website and register for a free account. From there, you may visit the EXAMS PAGE and click on the link for "FREE Examination Content Guides." You should do this BEFORE you begin your studies, so that you can build your study journal around those particular topics you need to know.

Or, alternatively, if you will not be taking the Excelsior exam, build your study journal around the individual chapters of the CK-12 book or around the DSST Physical Geology exam.

Recommended Course of Study

Download the Earth Science textbook from the CK-12 site and set a daily reading schedule. When applicable, complete the section review questions. Watch the 26 videos at the Earth Revealed site, and the 7 videos from the Planet Earth series. Use any of the additional resources to help build your study journal around the topics covered in the ECE exam outline. Finish your studies with the practice and End-of-Course exams.

Note: If you have access to a public library, you should borrow Earth Science books for additional reading. Consider visiting the children's section for "quick-read" books on specific topics such as "Sedimentary Rocks" or "Water Cycles."
