In 2012, a sister site, The University of You went live. Now we've brought both resources together into one place. The new HC USA includes information for students of all ages wanting to earn their college degrees from home, through examinations and online courses. The majority of resources available are free, with optional books and fee-based course suggestions. |

Occasionally, people will ask the meaning behind the Homeschool College USA name. While we would like to come up with some awesomely fantastic or deeply profound answer to this question, the truth is rather mundane. When we went to register a domain name for our site in 2010, every possible combination of "homeschooling and college" we could think of was already taken. This was pretty much all that was left. Thus, Homeschool College USA was born.
Homeschool College USA is not an accredited school or university. It does not offer transcripts, diplomas, or guarantees that you will pass any of your college-level exams. It serves as reference and information only.
