Drawing basics The Elements of Drawing (iTunes podcast) Recommended Course of Study: Begin by visiting each of the free websites listed and choosing one that suits your preferences. Work through the individual lessons and build a portfolio of work. You do not need to purchase expensive supplies to complete this course. Blank paper and regular No. 2 pencils are fine to start. If you would like to experiment with different art/drawing pencils, you can find inexpensive sets at Wal-Mart or craft stores. (Check out the "Artist's Loft" brand at Michael's for various pencil sets at a reasonable price.) No tests/exams are included for this course. If desired, grades can be assigned to the finished lessons. Note: If you have access to a public library, you should borrow drawing books for additional practice. |
