SUPPLIES
There are really only a few things needed for this curriculum, with some additional recommendations if you can afford them.
Absolutely Necessary:
• High-speed internet access. There are a lot of videos to watch and you will need to be able to play them.
• A printer and ink. There will be worksheets and other materials to print.
• Printer or copy paper.
• Binders, notebook paper, dividers*, and pens. These are for making study journals.
• A straight ruler, pencils, a compass, and a protractor.
• A hole punch. (3-hole punch recommended.)
Highly Recommended:
• Frequent access to a local public library. You can get around this with online resources, but a library is an invaluable source to any homeschooler. Also, with access to a local library, you can check out the novels studied in English, rather than needing to read them online.
Nice to Have:
• a globe
• colored pencils
• a good dictionary
• a calculator
Generally, you do not need anything special or more than you would purchase for a student attending public school, with the possible exception of the amount of printer ink and paper you will use. *As noted in the STUDY JOURNAL instructions, you may choose to buy one pack of card stock paper to use as dividers for all your subject notebooks, if you cannot find inexpensive dividers.
